Spring Quarter 2025
April 4: Life After College: Nuggets of Wisdom
It’s normal – when we go through any big change in our lives – to feel a little anxious, a little overwhelmed, or even a little bit scared. And it’s no wonder, as you’re in the midst of a transition that will definitely take you outside of your comfort zone. This presentation offers some helpful guidance that gives you a little more confidence, a bit of direction, and some great resources to tap into if you wish. Join the Office of Student Transition Experiences and US Bank as we discuss renting vs owning, take home pay, and all of the not so fun adulting topics. We will be in the Northwestern Room on Norris Second floor from 11am-12:30pm. RSVP Encouraged!
April 12: Volunteer Opportunity with Gale Community Academy
On Saturday, April 12, OSTE and LDCE will be taking students over to Gale Community Academy for a day of service! Gale is making room for a ceramic studio for their students and needs help cleaning up their art studios to do so. This opportunity is open to all students and a great way to give back to your community. Transportation and lunch provided. Limited spaces! RSVP required.
April 19: Night at Chicago Fire with SOA
On April 19th, OSTE and SOA will be taking students to the Chicago Fire Game at 7:30pm. More details to come, but mark your calendars!
April 24: Halfway There Celebration
Congratulations Second Year Students!! You have officially made it halfway through your undergraduate journey. Join South Area RD, Dominique, Student Transition Experiences, and Off-Campus Life to reflect on your successes from your first two years and learn more about off-campus resources, lease agreements, budgeting, cooking, and the Evanston community at Halfway There on Thursday, April 24th from 5:00 - 7:00 PM in the Shepard Engagement Center. Attendees can grab a light bite, capture the moment in a photo booth, and discover the tools they need for success next year! All second years are welcome!!
May 23: Paint and Sip
Making friends and finding time to take breaks can be challenging. Join OSTE on May 23rd from 2-4pm for a paint and sip in Artica studios! More details to come!
