Radiology
X-rays must be ordered by a Northwestern Medicine Student Health Service practitioner. The Radiology Department is staffed by a Registered Technologist of Radiology (R.T.R.) and provides basic diagnostic X-rays. Your practitioner will review the X-rays at the time they are taken and a radiologist (M.D.) from Northwestern Memorial Hospital will provides the final interpretation. Official reports are usually available in about 48 hours or two working days.
Digital copies of X-rays are available for a fee upon request. If you do not have the NU-sponsored Aetna Student Health insurance plan, we can bill your student account and provide a receipt that you may submit to your health insurance upon request.
