Pharmacy Services

Northwestern Medical Group (NMG) Pharmacy at NMSHS is an on-campus student resource for prescription and over-the-counter medications. We accept many major prescription benefit plans. A valid Northwestern WildCARD (NU identification card) is required to use NMG Pharmacy. Prescriptions from licensed prescribers are filled by our registered pharmacists at a reasonable cost and are frequently below the cost charged at local retail pharmacies when not using insurance.

Students who use NMSHS or have NU-SHIP may have their prescriptions filled at a pharmacy of their own choice.

New prescriptions or refill authorizations from providers external to NMSHS can be written or received by phone, fax, or electronically. Please note written and faxed prescriptions must be physically signed by the prescriber. The Health Service Pharmacy is located in the first floor lobby at 633 Emerson Street on the Evanston Campus.

Prescription Refills

Refills of any current prescription(s) with outstanding refills remaining may be requested via the MyNM Portal.

Prescriptions may be paid for by credit or debit card. If your total charges exceed $5, you may opt to bill them to your NM patient account for billing at a later date. A limited selection of common Over-The-Counter (OTC) products, such as allergy and cold remedies, cough syrups, analgesics, contraceptives, thermometers, and heating pads are also available.
