Annual Report from the Provost Advisory Council on Women Faculty at Northwestern

The purpose of this report is to provide data essential to the work of the Council and other stakeholders throughout the University. The report includes a snapshot of current numbers and percentages of tenure-line and instructional/clinical faculty by gender, rank, and race/ethnicity and shows change over time in the numbers and percentages of women faculty. In addition, the report examines leadership and success by documenting the gender breakdown of leadership positions such as dean and department chair and in named professorships. The office is also compiling additional longitudinal data tracing career advancement and use of family-oriented policies such as parental leave and tenure-clock extension for use by the Provost’s Advisory Council on Women Faculty’s working groups.
