Reproductive and Parenting Resources

Women's Center

There is a lactation space either within or adjacent to both Women's Center locations. Our Evanston space offers a comfortable, private room, with reading material and a refrigerator. Please check our programming for parenting supports groups, workshops, and the occasional whole-family event. We encourage new or expectant parents to reach out to our colleague Lesley Lundeen in Work/Life for further resources and consultation.

Campus Resources

Lactation Rooms

Lactation rooms help support working parents upon their return from leave and foster a family-friendly environment at the University. The Women's Center has a lactation space on the first floor of our Evanston location. There is a lactation space adjacent to the south door of the Chicago Women’s Center Community Room. For more information on access to our lactation room and the others on both campuses, visit the Office of Work/Life and Family Resources website.

General questions about the lactation rooms should be directed to the Office of Work/Life Resources at (847) 491-3612.

The Women’s Center has a limited supply of breast pump parts for when a nursing parent forgets something or a piece breaks while on campus. Call or stop by the Women’s Center Evanston location to get the piece you need.  841.491.7360, 2000 Sheridan Road, womenscenter@northwestern.edu.
