University Police works closely with students, faculty and staff to create a safe learning, working and research environment on the Evanston and Chicago campuses. We work to provide professional, courteous and effective law enforcement service to our community.
Serving the Campus Community
The Northwestern Police Department is continually evaluating the ways we can serve our community effectively. Inspired by our commitment to a collaborative and transparent approach to campus safety, we have made changes in several key areas and joined with Student Affairs to create the Campus Safety & Wellness Committee, a new forum for ongoing dialogue.
