The Kellogg Career Management Center

Certified June 2024

The Kellogg Career Management Center (CMC) earned Green Office Certification in June 2024.  Located in Kellogg’s Global Hub, this office provides holistic career management support to MBA graduate students. The CMC was inspired by other Kellogg administrative departments who recently earned Green Office Certification and wanted to make a difference, not only in their daily office practices, but also potentially in the hundreds of company and student events hosted by the department each year.

cmc_green-office-pic.jpgThis process brought the office together and also inspired the creation of an internal slack channel: #cmc_sustainability-at-work, where people can share green hacks, recommendations, and resources to live more sustainable lives. In addition, the team incorporated other green habits into the workplace such as purchasing sets of water pitchers and glasses for the conference rooms to reduce disposable water bottles, investing in a TerraCycle Zero Waste Box to recycle office supplies, and replacing plastic packing supplies with paper alternatives. Furthermore, the team is also partnering with the great Kellogg Administrative Green Team and the Kellogg student Energy and Sustainability Club to join forces in trying to make the entire building greener.
