Director for Medill School of Journalism
Brett (she/her) is exceptionally excited to begin work as 2026's Director for Medill. From San Diego, California, Brett is majoring in Journalism and Gender and Sexuality Studies. She loves meeting new students and getting to know the incoming class, with her favorite part of Wildcat Welcome being the PA Showdown, where Medill students battle it out in a game of trivia about the incoming class.
Outside the classroom, Brett serves on the editorial board of an affinity-based group, works on the design staff of a student magazine, and works part time with prospective Medill students.
In her free time, Brett can be found cooking in her off-campus apartment, frequenting Evanston's AMC theater, and on the hunt to find the best latte in the city. She is excited to share her passion for mentorship with the Medill community and welcome the incoming class of 2030 and transfers!
