Director for McCormick
Omar hails from the small town of East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, is majoring in Computer Science in McCormick and minoring in Linguistics and Arabic, and serves as the Director for McCormick! As a FGLI student, he loves being able to share and use his experiences to help create a more inclusive environment for incoming FGLI students. Omar loves seeing new students make core memories at NU during Wildcat Welcome and find their footing as they navigate their transition to college. In his free time, he is always listening to music to avoid being alone with his thoughts. He also loves eating good food, shopping for clothes he doesn’t need, and going to the gym! Around campus, Omar is involved in religious and mental health oriented organizations and cultural affinity groups, as well as a club sports team.
