Dining and Vending

Students eating in the dining hall

One advantage of living on campus is the close proximity to dining halls and campus convenience stores. There are dining facilities in six of the larger residence halls: 1835 Hinman, Allison, Elder, Foster-Walker, Sargent, and Willard. Each of the six residential dining locations features an all-you-can-eat menu with a wide range of choices. Meals are planned with students’ preferences and suggestions in mind and include a diverse range of healthy choices, traditional heartland entrees, ethnic selections, and vegetarian and vegan options. Every meal includes a choice of fresh fruit and beverages; lunch and dinner offer extensive salad and deli bars. In addition to the six main dining halls, other on-campus dining options include six restaurants and cafes, two conveneince stores (c-stores), and the Norris University Center.

Check out the Northwestern Dining page for up-to-date information on meal plans, weekly menus, nutrition, and hours for all dining locations.

Vending machines are located throughout campus academic and residential buildings. University Services provides complete information on vending services including a list of locations, how to add money to your Wildcard, and contact information.
