This program establishes a process to ensure Northwestern faculty, staff, and students are aware of hazardous chemicals in non-research spaces and provides information regarding the potential hazards associated with exposure to chemicals and any necessary protective measures to avoid exposure.
Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) in non-research spaces are available to faculty, staff, and students while logged in to Northwestern's WiFi network on campus.
The use of potentially hazardous chemicals in research spaces (e..g, laboratories) is addressed in the Laboratory Safety and Chemical Hygiene Plan.
