I didn't know how to study for it, how to work through practice problems, and certainly not how to do well on the exams. I also hadn't done well in AP chemistry in high school, so I didn't have much confidence in my abilities to improve. I was embarrassed to go to office hours because I didn't even know what to ask. Thankfully, my school had a regular tutoring time run by upper-level chem majors. One of the seniors encouraged me to go, and she and another tutor patiently helped me for hours. I'm so thankful for their help - I ended up getting better at it, building my confidence, and somehow even ended up majoring in chemistry. "
