Peer-Leader Opportunities

We are so glad that you're considering joining ASLA's team of peer leaders!

ASLA recruits new peer leaders during each winter and spring quarter, for the following academic year. We are currently reviewing applications (for the 2024–25 academic year) submitted by the February 18 deadline. You are still welcome to apply at any point during the year for consideration.

ASLA peer leaders support students in mastering course-based learning as well as honing their general academic skills. We have opportunities that fit a variety of schedules and interests. All positions are paid, and peer leaders receive comprehensive training through ASLA. Please note that new peer leaders must be available for all three quarters of the academic year.

How to apply

We strongly encourage you to read all of the information on this page before submitting your application. Keep in mind that there are two different applications, one for course-specific tutoring and study-group programs, and another for peer coaching and mentoring programs. You can access the course-specific application under "Course-specific application information," below, and the coaching and mentoring application under "Academic coaching and mentoring application information," below. The deadline to apply is February 18.
