Peer-Leader Training

student at board in classroomAll ASLA peer leaders take part in a comprehensive initial orientation, and engage in ongoing professional development and regular interactive staff meetings throughout their peer-leader experience. Training activities address group facilitation and communication, student learning, diversity & inclusion, and more.

Peer leaders in the Peer-Guided Study Groups,  Mentored Study Program, and Drop-In Tutoring programs take the SESP 291 course as part of their training. This two-quarter, 0.5-credit-per-quarter course is designed to help peer leaders
