Developing a National Research Agenda for STEM Academic Support conference: Information for Participants

The conference plenary sessions will take place in the Louis Room of the Norris Center, which is on the second floor of the Norris University Center.

Parking
If you are driving to the conference and plan to park on campus, please utilize the South Campus Parking Garage. The South Campus Parking Garage is located at 1847 Campus Drive, Evanston, IL 60208, about one block south of the conference venue, Norris University Center.
Parking validation tickets (to cover the full cost of parking) will be available for pickup at the conference. You will need one parking pass for each day of the conference. If you will need parking passes, please inform Sara Woods (sara-woods@northwestern.edu) by May 15th, 2019.

We have arranged a special rate for conference participants at the Hilton Garden Inn Chicago North Shore/Evanston. This hotel is approximately a 15-minute walk from the conference location; a free shuttle is also available.
A block of rooms has been reserved for the nights of May 29th and May 30th, 2019. To book your room, please call 847-475-6400 and mention booking code ESC (hotel code is ORDEVGI). You may also book online (using the same code).
Room reservations must be made by April 29th, 2019 to guarantee a room at the conference rate. The room rate is $155 plus tax per night. Each participant is responsible for payment of their own room. Rooms included in the block are non-smoking Standard King and Standard Two Doubles.
A parking lot is available nearby for $13 per day. Valet parking is not available.

Directions from Airports to Hotel
Chicago has two major airports. O’Hare is approximately 17 miles away and Midway is approximately 25 miles from campus. Directions from airports to the Hilton Garden Inn are available on the hotel website. (Note: The hotel is approximately a 15-minute walk from the conference venue, which is the Norris University Center.)
Transportation to conference venue from hotel
A free shuttle is available from the hotel to campus on both mornings of the conference. The conference venue is also within walking distance of the hotel (approximately a 15-minute walk).
