AI Institute for the Sky

Northwestern’s AI Institute for the Sky (SkAI) is redefining space exploration through the power of AI. With a $20 million grant from the National Science Foundation and the Simons Foundation, SkAI brings together over 100 researchers across 25 partner institutions to develop cutting-edge, trustworthy AI tools for deep space discovery while training the next generation of scientific leaders.

Institute for AI in Medicine

Working with Northwestern Medicine and partners across the University, I.AIM applies machine learning, artificial intelligence, pattern recognition, genetic analysis and deep phenotyping of health data to the building of responsible tools that improve human health.

Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems

NICO fosters collaborations that leverage complex systems, networks and data science to tackle societal challenges. Data scientists analyze vast data sets and create innovative solutions to enhance information quality. NICO also connects faculty with motivated undergraduate and graduate students to advance data science research.
