Amazon Account Setup Procedures for Procard Users

Existing Amazon account using NU email address, business & personal use

  1. Change email address on existing account to a personal email address.  If you don’t have a personal email address you can set up a free account on Google.  Go to www.google.com, select Gmail and follow the instructions.
  2. Remove Procard account information from existing Amazon account.
  3. Set up a business only account by going to www.amazon.com and click on Your Account.  Choose New Customer? Start here
  4. Follow instructions to set up your account using your NU email address.
  5. Send an email to the Procard office to solicit an invitation to register your account under the Northwestern University business account.
  6. When you receive your email inviting you to join follow the steps as documented here to register your account as tax exempt, enter your procard as your payment method and establish your shipping address.  Note:  The tax exempt certificate information must be entered exactly as documented in step 15.
  7. Contact the Procard office if you encounter any problems.
