Director of Procurement Diversity and Community Engagement
We are very pleased to announce that Peter Braithwaite has joined Procurement and Payment Services at Northwestern as the Director of Procurement Diversity and Community Engagement, effective February 21, 2022. Peter will focus on the development, implementation, and management of our overall procurement diversity strategy at Northwestern.
Peter has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Kansas and is a transformational leader with more than 15 years of progressive experience in business development, community relations, and government. Peter most recently worked for Grainger.
We are excited about the strong track record of leadership and innovation Peter brings to this position. Please join us in welcoming him to Northwestern. Procurement Contracts Manager
We are also very excited to announce that Tracy Mrowczynski is joining Procurement and Payment Services as our Manager of Procurement Contracts, effective March 1, 2022. Tracy will be responsible for maintaining procurement related templates used by PPS as well as the rest of campus, roll out of the supplier contracts module in NUFinancials, working with procurement administrators in PPS when redlines to terms have been proposed by vendors, negotiating with vendors, and eventually reviewing procurement related agreements being handled by other departments and schools. She will also work very closely with the Office of General Counsel on behalf of PPS.
Tracy moved to Chicago to attend law school and has been working at Northwestern for approximately 9 years. She has worked at the Institute for Public Health & Medicine, the Division of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics, Basic Science Administration, and the McCormick School of Engineering in various administration roles including Research Administrator and most recently Center Administrator at the Center for Health Information Partnerships.
