Applications are now open for The Alumnae of Northwestern University Graduate Fellowships for 2026–27. The Alumnae of Northwestern University offers this fellowship to Northwestern graduates who show promise of achieving distinction in their field and bringing credit to the University.
Northwestern graduates who have completed a degree before the Fall of 2026 and are seeking an additional degree from Northwestern in a terminal Master’s program are eligible to apply. Applicants may be newly admitted or currently enrolled as full-time students in a single terminal Master’s degree program at Northwestern during the 2026–27 academic year who will matriculate in the coming year. Dual degree programs and doctoral programs are not eligible.
Criteria for selection include quality of scholarship, leadership potential, participation in community service, professional experience, and financial need. Awards will range from $10,000 to $30,000 to be applied to tuition.
The following materials must be submitted at the same time to be considered:
- Completed Application Form
- Personal Statement (uploaded to application form)
- Current Resumé (uploaded to application form)
- Proof of Acceptance to terminal Master's degree program (uploaded to application form)
- Academic Transcript(s) from Northwestern (uploaded to application form; original not needed).
Additionally, the following materials must be submitted via email:
- Two Letters of Recommendation from persons who can evaluate your qualifications. Each letter is to be submitted as an attachment sent directly from the recommender to nualumnae@u.northwestern.edu.
Complete applications—including two letters of recommendation—must be received by 11:59 PM CT on Friday, April 10, 2026. Applicants will be notified when their completed applications and letters of recommendation are received. Grant recipients will be notified by Monday, June 1, 2026.
