CACS Great Lakes Chapter 23rd Annual Conference on April 27

If you have answered “yes” to any of these questions, consider attending the 23rd Annual Conference of the Chinese American Chemical Society – Great Lakes Chapter (GLCACS) at Abbott Laboratories on Saturday, April 27 from 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM. The theme of this year’s meeting is “Challenges and Opportunities for Chemists and Chemical Engineers in a Changing World.” Conference highlights include:

  • Plenary presentations by distinguished speakers from both industry and academia on the challenges and opportunities for chemists and chemical engineers in a changing world
  • Outstanding student research awards: $1,000 shared by winners in chemistry and chemical engineering two categories (Apply by Monday, April 15)
  • Student research presentations and awards (Apply by Monday, April 15)
  • Career fair and networking with representatives from Abbott, Honeywell UOP, AbbVie, Baxter and other companies
  • Free conference registration, free parking, and free luncheon; optional dinner (registration needed) 

GLCACS is the Great Lakes regional chapter of the Chinese American Chemical Society (CACS), a national organization representing Chinese-American scientists and engineers in the fields such as chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering and other interdisciplinary fields in the US. CACS is the only Chinese-American professional organization that is officially recognized by both the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). Since 1997, each year the GLCACS Annual Conference has been attended by more than a hundred of students and professionals from universities, industries and other institutions in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, Ohio and other states. Serving the conference participants’ interests such as professional growth and technical exchanges has always been the society’s priority.
