Download Color Palettes

Download .ase files for Adobe Creative Suite software.

A file with the .ase file extension is an Adobe Swatch Exchange file used for saving a collection of colors accessed through the Swatches palette.

Northwestern Purple Palette

Northwestern Purple and its shades and tints:

• CMYK Coated
• CMYK Uncoated
• RGB
• PMS Coated* 
• PMS Uncoated*

* PMS palettes for coated and uncoated Northwestern Purple are spot color. You will need to provide your vendor with the actual PMS codes [add link].

Secondary Color Palette

Northwestern Purple and its shades and tints: 

• CMYK (uncoated and coated are codes are the same)
• PMS
• RGB

Import Instructions

Photoshop

1. Download the .ase files and save it in a location where you can find it later.
2. Open your swatches palette.
3. Click the flyout menu and choose "Load Swatches."
4. Navigate to the .ase file and select the palette you wish to import.
5. Your swatches will be appended to your current swatches in Photoshop.

Illustrator 

1. Download the .ase files and save it in a location where you can find it later.
2. Open your swatches palette.
3. Click the flyout menu and choose "Open Swatch Library" then "Other Library."
4. Navigate to the .ase file and select the palette you wish to import.
5. Your swatches will open up in a new swatch palette. When you use a swatch from this new palette it will automatically be added to the document swatches.

InDesign

1. Download the .ase files and save it in a location where you can find it later.
2. Open your swatches palette.
3. Click the flyout menu and choose "Load Swatches."
4. Navigate to the .ase file you downloaded from Neenahpaper.com
5. Your swatches will be appended to your current swatches in InDesign.
