Physical Access Guidelines

Northwestern University is committed to creating a welcoming and accessible environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. We strive to accommodate all members of our community. The University is committed to removing barriers to ensure students, faculty, staff and visitors have equal access to its campus in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Facilities incorporates accessible features into all construction and renovation projects, and works with AccessibleNU and Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance to make additional accommodations as needed.

Our approach to accessibility extends beyond our buildings to include our entire campus. We address parking areas and consider how people will navigate the campus. During construction projects, we ensure that accessible paths remain available, allowing for continued access to facilities.

To report a physical accessibility concern at a University location, please contact the Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance at 847-467-6165 or OCR@northwestern.edu, or use our form to report an issue.
