Eligibility Requirements
Eligible nominees must:
- Be a domestic PhD student or postdoc
- Exhibit a strong commitment to character, leadership, advocacy, scholarship, and service within higher education, aligning with the five pillars of the Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society
Application Procedure for Doctoral Student Member
- Complete Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society Application . Applications are not complete without required accompanying documentation.
- Copy of unofficial transcript
- High resolution headshot (JPEG or PNG format required, minimum resolution of 600x900 pixels)
- Inform a faculty member to complete the required faculty endorsement form. For PhD students, the endorsing faculty member should be the student's faculty adviser or a member of their dissertation committee. For postdocs, the faculty recommender should be a postdoc's principal investigator (PI) or someone from their hiring department who is closely familiar with their research.
Application Procedure for Postdoctoral Members
- Complete Edward A. Bouchet Graduate Honor Society Application . Applications are not complete without required accompanying documentation.
- High resolution headshot (JPEG or PNG format required, minimum resolution of 600x900 pixels)
- Inform a faculty member to complete the required faculty endorsement form. For postdoctoral scholars, the endorsing faculty member should be the postdoc's principal investigator (PI) or someone from their hiring department who is closely familiar with their research.
The applicant is responsible for making sure that all the required documentation is submitted before the application deadline of Friday, November 14, 2025! Faculty nominations are due Monday, December 1, 2025 For questions related to the application process, please email GPS.
