One-on-one support is available from staff across the University to help you prioritize and manage your health, so you can achieve your academic and personal goals.

  • The InclusionNU Fund is a grant distributed by MSA that supports registered student organizations in implementing programs and initiatives that align with MSA's mission of supporting marginalized communities and creating an inclusive and welcoming campus.
  • The Student Activities Assistance Fund is a supplemental grant to assist undergraduate students in registered student organizations with financial support to participate fully in their student organization’s programs and events. 
  • Students having trouble accessing food can drop by Purple Pantry to grab free snacks and groceries. Purple Pantry is intended to be as barrier-free as possible, so it accommodates individuals with vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, kosher, and halal dietary needs.
  • Campus Inclusion & Community works collaboratively with the university community to cultivate inclusive learning environments through the intentional engagement with difference.
  • The Gender & Sexuality Resource Center works toward personal and collective queer liberation and advancement by cofacilitating community events, educational initiatives, and institutional advocacy in partnership with Northwestern’s queer students, community organizations, and partner offices.
  • Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) enriches the cultural experience of Northwestern through leadership and education programming; providing opportunities for community engagement and identity expression; and assisting students in navigating the University. MSA also oversees The Black House and the Multicultural Center affinity spaces.
  • The Northwestern Women's Center pursues gender justice for staff, faculty, and students through advocacy, support, education, and research.
  • The Office of Civil Rights and Title IX Compliance works to create a culture of access, belonging and accountability for all Northwestern community members. That includes supporting those impacted by discrimination, harassment, or sexual misconduct and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
  • The Office of the Ombudsperson can play a key role in resolving concerns and working through issues. The University Ombudsperson provides confidential and informal assistance for resolving university-related concerns, is independent of the university's formal administrative structure, and considers all sides of an issue in a impartial manner.
  • Student Organizations & Activities seeks to engage students in involvement opportunities that build a sense of belonging and community at Northwestern University.
  • Student Enrichment Services partners with first-generation, lower-income, and DACA/undocumented students to foster identity development, navigate campus resources, and build community.

  • Counseling & Psychological Services staff are available to help students struggling with eating disorders/disordered eating and body image. 
  • Residential Area Desks provide staff support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Located at Allison, Sargent, Schapiro, and Willard, the desks are a hub of activity for residential students. 
  • Graduate Front Desks serve as package and amenity centers, information hubs, and lockout points.
