After receiving student feedback about the need for a binder closet on campus the GSRC applied for and received a one year Seed Fund Grant to help establish one during the 23-24 school years. Students in need of a binder can schedule an appointment when the binder closet is open and try on different styles, sizes and colors of binders. Be sure to review some chest binding education and consult with your primary care physician when considering using a binder. If you find a binder you like, the GSRC will be able to order you one. Limit one free binder per-person.
The GSRC is piloting a collaboration with Chicago House to bring free rapid HIV, Hep C and Syphilis testing to the northern cook county region! Swing by for testing or to chat with queer sex health professionals! Chicago House will be in the GSRC Boardroom on the 2nd Monday of every month during Spring 24 academic quarter (April 8th and May 13th) from 5pm-8pm. Testing will take less than 5 mins and you will get immediate results
