Financial Responsibility Agreement

Northwestern students must read and acknowledge the Financial Responsibility Agreement (FRA) each year. The FRA outlines important student financial obligations. This acknowledgment is a mandatory step in the registration process.

Who Must Complete the FRA

The FRA applies to most undergraduate and graduate students, except:

  • PS Non-degree
  • Northwestern University in Qatar students

Registration Holds

Students who do not complete the FRA within 30 days of assignment will receive a registration hold and will be unable to register for classes until the acknowledgment is submitted.
