Your Well-being at Northwestern in the Year Ahead

Dear Students,

Welcome to Fall Quarter!

It’s always special to see all of you in our campus community as we begin a new academic year. All of us in the Division of Student Affairs are here to support you and provide resources to help you achieve academic and personal success.

At Northwestern, we believe that academic success and personal well-being go hand in hand, making wellness an essential part of navigating a rigorous academic experience.

As you make progress toward your individual goals, we want you to know that there is a community available to support you. You can always connect one on one with a provider to discuss a mental health concern, and virtual and on-demand options are available. NUhelp is your hub for wellness, safety and crisis resources, including a range of self-care guides and tools for sleep, fitness, stress management and more. The Dean of Students Office is also available to help you navigate resources every step of the way. Everyone’s wellness journey is different, filled with twists and turns, and we encourage you to access the supports that feel right for you.

As you settle into the year, we encourage you to build connections, whether that’s through your residence halls and residential areas, Campus Inclusion & Community, student organizations or campus programs and events. You can also stay connected through the PawPrint student newsletter, a weekly update with events, important announcements and ways to get involved.

Be sure to review the 2026 Student Handbook to familiarize yourself with community expectations and your responsibilities as a student.

I look forward to seeing all of you, whether new or returning, and kicking off a great year! Remember, we thrive when we take care of ourselves and each other.
