First-year student Ethan Abisellan majors in political science and philosophy. He has lived in seven different countries with his family, who serve in the US Foreign Service. His overseas experiences created his passion for political theory, international development, US foreign policy, legal systems, and democracy—concepts he intends to explore during his time at Northwestern. This summer, he will use the fellowship for an unpaid congressional internship.
