Weinberg senior lands fellowship in Illinois government

The Office of Fellowships is pleased to announce that Mackenzie Eisen (WCAS '18) has been chosen for the 2018-2019 class of James H. Dunn, Jr. Memorial Fellows! As a fellow, Mackenzie will spend the year working in the Illinois governor’s office, in Chicago, on the education-policy team.

Mackenzie is a double major in philosophy and political science Mackenzie Eisenand hails from Stamford, Connecticut. She has worked for two years as a resident advisor in the Communications Residential College, and the contributions she made to her community earned her a Wildcat Impact Award, for integrity, in spring 2018. 

She has served as the president of Northwestern’s Undergraduate Philosophy Society since January 2016. She is also the president of WiPhi (Women in Philosophy) and serves as the philosophy department’s representative on the Weinberg College Student Advisory Board. She was also recently awarded the philosophy department’s Lula A. Peterson Prize, for exemplary citizenship.

The Dunn Fellowship Program provides bright, highly motivated college graduates a unique opportunity to experience firsthand the operations of state government for one year. Dunn Fellows are recruited from public and private colleges and universities throughout the nation.
