Social Service

These groups are your chance to cement warm friendships while visiting and “laboring” over special projects for donation to the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Children’s Memorial Hospital and Northwestern Settlement House. If you can knit, crochet, embroider or just thread a needle (you do not have to be an expert), we can find a work to meet your ability while you visit and share thoughts with other Northwestern women. These groups are fun as well as productive. They make lap robes and shoulder warmers for wheelchair patients at the Rehabilitation Institute, baby afghans, stuffed dolls, booties and caps for “premies”, slipper sox, finger puppets and soft balls for the Children’s Memorial Hospital; items for Settlement House; and other services where needed. New members are always welcome to join us.
