Over 100 years ago Northwestern University Settlement House was established in Chicago by members of the Northwestern community to help people cope with the obstacles of poverty. Those of us participating in this interest group continue these endeavors by helping to organize and chaperon children to NU functions (concerts, athletic events, etc.), adopting a family at Christmas, collecting and delivering food and clothing, etc.

If you are interested in doing something about the problems in our inner city, please call the chairperson for more information.

The purpose of University Circle is to promote fellowship and to advance the interests of Northwestern. Membership is open to women in the University community, including faculty and staff and the spouses of faculty and staff. It is also open to women and affiliated women of the Garrett Evangelical Seminary and the Seabury-Western Theological Seminary.
