Over 100 years ago, Northwestern University Settlement House was established in Chicago by members of the Northwestern community to help people cope with the obstacles of poverty. Those of us participating in this interest group continue these endeavors by helping to organize and chaperon outings to NU functions (concerts, athletic events, etc.), adopting a family at Christmas, collecting and delivering food and clothing, etc.
If you are interested in doing something about the problems in our inner city, please call a chairperson for more information.
