This group is co-sponsored by the Community Council for International Students and Northwestern University Circle. Newcomers, especially, will find events and tours informative and fun.

January 10, 10:30 am - 1:00 pm: "Cook-In"
We will share new recipes and prepare them together at the home of Joan Fragen, 1230 Lindenwood Drive in Winnetka. If you wish to demonstrate a favorite recipe, please call Joan by January 6 or 7. She will be happy to buy the ingredients for you if you wish. If you plan to attend, RSVP to Joan at 847-446-0184

January 24, 10:00 am - Noon: NU Women's Center
Njoki Kamau, the Assistant Director of the Northwestern University Women's Center, will introduce us to the center and tell us about the programs it offers. The NU Women's Center is located at 2000 Sheridan Road - on the corner of Foster Avenue and Sheridan Road. For more information, please call Joan Fragen at 847-446-0184.

February 14, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Valentines, Love, and Courtship

February 28, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Potluck Luncheon
Join us for a potluck luncheon at the home of Asha hira, 412 Chateau Drive in Buffalo Grove. Please bring a main dish to share that can serve 4 to 6 people. March 7, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Japanese Girl's Day Festival
Celebrate the hina matsuri at the home of Anita Yamada, 3023 Payne Street in Evanston. The festival usually takes place on March 3 in Japan, and celebrates the health and happiness of girls. See the dolls of the Japanese imperial court that are the centerpiece of this festival and sample Japanese foods! Please RSVP by March 5 to Anita at 847-869-3634.




The purpose of University Circle is to promote fellowship and to advance the interests of Northwestern. Membership is open to women in the University community, including faculty and staff and the spouses of faculty and staff. It is also open to women and affiliated women of the Garrett Evangelical Seminary and the Seabury-Western Theological Seminary.
