Northwestern attracts to Chicago the most talented students from across the nation and around the world and develops this talent into the next generation of leaders and citizens. Only a quarter of our entering students come from Illinois but nearly half of our graduates start their careers in Illinois (mostly Chicago), helping to solve pressing societal problems, working in health care or the arts, developing new technologies and finding new business-enterprise solutions to grow the Chicago economy.
