William Andrew Oliver is an artist, actor, and writer who lives on the South Shore of Boston. He was awarded the Clark and Hinman Foundation Fellowship, in 2013, to support his summer internship to expand Partners In Health’s donor-side advocacy network. That foundational experience spurred a lasting program, as well as several extant advocacy efforts led by program alums. In 2015, William was accepted to Columbia’s Mailman School of Public Health to study qualitative methods in public health, but declined to pursue other passions. In the meantime, he has taken an internship at a casting office for several primetime CBS dramas, volunteered on an AmeriCorps crew in rural Vermont to partner with local and national agencies, and worked several food-service jobs in his native Massachusetts. As of 2018, William worked as a server and an aspiring actor while enjoying reading about positive psychology, painting and drawing, and spending time with his family.
