Leila is a rising junior from the San Francisco Bay Area majoring in economics and psychology with a minor in global health studies. On campus, Leila is a member of the Global Engagement Summit and Steam Heat Dance Company and is a research assistant for Dr. Terri Sabol’s Development, Early Education, and Policy Lab. This summer, she will use the Clark and Hinman Foundation Fellowship to work as a health and wellness intern at the International Rescue Committee in Oakland, California, where she will support local immigrants in accessing medical resources and creating healthy lives for themselves.
