Keys & Wildcard Services for Building Access

Keys and Wildcard Services for Building Access

Valid University credentials are required for access to the majority of campus buildings, with additional details located in the Building Access Guidelines page.

Guest and Affiliate Access

Campus guests and affiliates should coordinate their visit with the sponsoring department or individual.

Need a Wildcard or Key?

University students, faculty, and staff can visit the Wildcard website for information about a new or replacement ID card.
Physical Key Requests (new, lost, key transfers, report broken keys):
- Evanston Campus: Key Authorizers can submit requests in Facilities Connect Keys (SimpleK).
  - Find the Key Authorizer for a space in FC Keys under Reports - Authorizer by Room report.
  - View the FC Training page for job guides and training videos for FC Keys.
- Chicago Campus: Key Holders or Key Requesters can submit a request in Facilities Connect; A Key Authorization Form must be submitted with the key request
