The Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion (OIDI) strives to cultivate a campus environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. One of the ways this is done is through our initiatives, which seek to develop diverse leaders and promote inclusion and equity.

IDEA Leaders (formerly known as the Diversity Leaders Group, or DLG) is a university-wide collective of senior diversity leaders, representing Northwestern University’s schools/colleges and major administrative units, who have primary responsibility for inclusion, diversity, equity, and accountability (IDEA) in their areas.
The IDEA Scholars Mentoring and Leadership Coaching Program is a faculty mentoring and academic leadership development program designed to promote the success of Northwestern University’s mid-career faculty (e.g., tenured associate professors/6+ years experience) while developing a path to leadership.
