System Updates for Names & Pronouns
The System Updates to Names and Pronouns Webinar Presentation (sign-in required) is now available to view (15m). About the Project
Northwestern is engaged in a multi-phase initiative to update the University’s online systems so that students, faculty and staff (including temporary staff) will be able to provide their name as they would like it to be displayed in University systems (e.g., “display name”) and their pronouns. This initiative is a partnership between The Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion (OIDI), Information Technology, Human Resources, and the University Registrar.

UPDATE YOUR LEGAL NAME
Steps to update your name with Northwestern vary by who you are.
- Students and faculty: Change your legal name via the University Registrar
- Staff, faculty and student workers: Change your legal name via myHR
Please note that faculty and student workers must submit forms in both myHR and to the Registrar.
