Demand for the service varies widely based on many outside factors from campus events to weather to whether it is a weekend or not. When you call SafeRide to request a ride the dispatcher will provide an estimate of the time your car will arrive along with your wait time.

During the 2007-07 academic year the average wait time for a SafeRide vehicle was just under 27.5 minutes.

As a general guide waits tend to be longer Thursday through Saturday nights and between 10:30 pm and 12:30 am.

During adverse weather conditions such as rain or snow storms wait times can be much longer so make sure to give yourself plenty of time.
