Robert Preston Cranford Joins Inaugural Simons Dissertation Fellows in Mathematics

Robert Preston Cranford, PhD candidate in mathematics, has been selected to be among the inaugural class of Simons Dissertation Fellows in Mathematics.  

The Simons Dissertation Fellowship in Mathematics provides research support to graduate students in the final years of their mathematics PhD program. Up to 40 dissertation fellowships are awarded each year, providing $30,000 in general research support for the student and $2,000 in support for the student’s department, over two years, to coincide with the fourth and fifth year of the student’s PhD program.
