Qile (/SHEE-luh/) joined the team in 2022. As the Data Analyst at Student Affairs Assessment and Planning, she works collaboratively with the team to collect, organize, analyze, visualize, and interpret datasets from a variety of sources.
Qile graduated from Northwestern with her master’s degree in linguistics, and she holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics from the University of Pittsburgh. When she was a graduate student and a researcher at Northwestern, she conducted research projects in different disciplines such as psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, computational linguistics, and economics.
One of Qile’s research interests is the relationship between language and gender differences. She likes to understand data so that she can tell the stories behind them and help others to use data to make the right decisions.
