Job Summary:

Under minimal supervision, performs a variety of skilled tasks proficiently in the maintenance and repair of university security access systems as well as occasional work relating to the carpentry trade. Manages all shop-related work and personnel associated with the maintenance, upkeep, and renewal of the Chicago campus buildings’ which includes the rebuild and installation of locks, doorknobs, door closers, panic hardware, related mechanical equipment and door hardware. May repair steel doors, hinges, desk, file cabinet and office furniture locks... Coordinates and implements various maintenance and related projects which includes estimating scope and costs and supervising multiple crews. Provides direction to staff with responsibility for managing and evaluating performance. Ensures timely completion of all shop-related paperwork and electronic approvals including service requests and timesheets. Cultivates good customer relations.

Job Summary: 

Reporting to and under the direction of the Chief and Assistant Chief Maintenance Engineers, directly manages a portion of the shop staff in the safe and efficient operation of all building mechanical, plumbing, and control systems including the associated utility distribution networks. Operates, maintains, repairs, and replaces building infrastructure related equipment including, but not limited to, air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, plumbing, temperature controls, and instrumentation.

Job Summary: 

This role will report to the Manager of Financial Administration. As the Supervisor of the team responsible for the purchasing of maintenance material for the Chicago and Evanston Campuses, they have oversight of the team and the purchase order life cycle. This role Supports internal customers by understanding their purchase specifications and timelines. A Fully active member of the team that routinely executes the purchasing process from request, follow up on part delivery to payment of the invoice. Key user of systems and teaches system processes that align with associated business processes. Collaborates with warehouse manager, meets with vendors and other internal colleagues to discuss terms, conditions, availability, inventory levels and pricing. Expedites orders and tracks status. Provides oversight and executes data maintenance pertaining to material hierarchy within facilities systems.

Job Summary: 

The Director of Project Management will manage multiple related teams of managers and professionals responsible for the capital projects delivery process, from the design phase through commissioning and close-out. Provides day to day business operational oversight of financial, budget, contracting and scheduling for all capital projects. Is responsible for managing the design and construction of physical assets and bringing them online in the most efficient and economical manner.

Job Summary:

Reporting to and under the direction of the Evanston campus Chief and Foreman Electricians, manages a portion of the shop staff in the safe and efficient operation of all building electrical and lighting systems, including campus distributed utilities and equipment. Supervises and coordinates, as well as performs, installations, maintenance, and operations of all electrical equipment. This position ensures all campus electrical distribution systems, building systems, and associated equipment are maintained and operated properly and in compliance with University policies and applicable codes.

Physical ability to lift and maneuver heavy weights, climb and descend ladders, and work in hot, cold, cramped and confined quarters. Ability to work safely and at heights on ladders, lifts and scaffolding.  Dexterity necessary for the use of tools and manipulation of materials. Must be available and capable of responding to irregularities during evenings and weekends ensuring 24 hour, 7 day per week coverage.
