Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs)
Automated external defibrillators (AED) enable responders to deliver early defibrillation to victims in the first critical moments after sudden cardiac arrest.
This program provides guidance for the selection, placement, use and maintenance of AEDs in Northwestern facilities and vehicles. All AEDs subject to this program must be registered with, and approved by, EHS.
