We are working to ensure individual computing equipment for DOSA staff is replaced on a life-cycle that ensures its effectiveness. Staff members receive notifications when their computers are scheduled for replacement. Department heads can request off-schedule replacements or new acquisitions for staff by submitting a request using the Computer Support Form.

Selection of a technology product for use at Northwestern University requires consideration of a number of factors to determine whether it is compatible with the NU technology environment, complies with security standards, and meets functional needs. This process requires the participation of SAIT, NUIT, Office of General Counsel, and the requesting department. The best approach to navigating this process is to contact SAIT as early as possible.

Business Liaison Program
The Business Liaison Program is a partnership program between Student Affairs departments and SAIT. This program allows departments to share information about any upcoming information technology or information systems needs. The SAIT Liaison would meet with department heads to discuss how to solicit feedback from staff. One option would be for the Liaison to attend departmental staff meetings when appropriate.
