Weinberg Summer Grant Awards from the Weinberg College Baker Program in Undergraduate Research
WCAS Summer Grant Awards from the Weinberg College Baker Program in Undergraduate Research are made to Weinberg College first-years, sophomores, and juniors and consist of a $4,000 stipend to cover research and living expenses for a continuous eight-week summer period.
McCormick Summer Research Award
McCormick provides awards of up to $5,000 each for qualifying undergraduate summer research. Awards are made on a competitive basis. Only students enrolled in McCormick are eligible. Projects must be mentored by a Northwestern faculty member.
EPICS: External Programs, Internships, and Career Services
EPICS provides personalized guidance, comprehensive resources, and opportunities for School of Communication graduate and undergraduate students to explore their career interests and develop meaningful connections with alumni and industry professionals as they prepare for life beyond Northwestern. Medill Internship Grant Program (MIGP)

Summer Undergraduate Research Grants
The Office of Undergraduate Research's Summer Undergraduate Research Grants (SURGs) provide a $4,000 stipend to cover living expenses for eight weeks of full-time research on an independent academic or creative project, in all fields of study, under faculty supervision.
Career Advancement and Summer Internship Grant Program (SIGP)
Offered through the Office of Student Affair's Northwestern Career Advancement (NCA), the Summer Internship Grant Program (SIGP) has made it possible for qualifying undergraduate students to pursue unpaid internships. In 2025, 282 Northwestern students received grants of $3,500 to participate in unpaid summer experiences.
Engage Chicago
Offered by Northwestern's Center for Civic Engagement, Engage Chicago is an immersive summer field study program that gives college students the opportunity to explore community development and social change in one of the world's most dynamic cities.
