One Book Fellows

Josh Burton
I’m Josh Burton, a junior double-majoring in Journalism and Economics with a minor in Business Institutions. I’m from Long Island, New York and am a big sports fan, rooting for the Mets, Nets, Jets, and Devils. Here at Northwestern, I’m an assistant editor for InsideNU (an independent Northwestern sports site), and am involved with WNUR Sports. As a One Book fellow who’s interested in sports and economics, I can’t wait to help spread the word about The Signal and the Noise and the important topics it covers.
Melissa Calica
Melissa Calica is a pre-med junior studying Biology and Sociology, with a certificate in Civic Engagement. In addition to chemistry research and YMCA volunteering, she is involved in Chi Omega, Sigma Alpha Iota, NU Nights, and Treblemakers. She enjoyed being a One Book ambassador last year, and looks forward to this year’s programming.
Macray Poidomani
I’m Macray Poidomani, a senior majoring in Economics and Political Science from Barrington, Illinois. On campus, I am a site leader for Alternative Student Breaks, a service-learning organization; a crew member of Northwestern News Network; and an active member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and drinking way too much coffee. As a One Book fellow, I am most excited for the opportunity to find ways to engage students through all the different sections and topics of this book.
Kaitland Postley
My name is Kaitland Postley, and I am a senior in Weinberg majoring in Biology and minoring in United States History. I’m a total animal lover, but cats definitely have my heart (I even taught one how to walk on a leash). I love watching television and am currently addicted to several shows, including The Walking Dead, Vikings, and Game of Thrones. I am a huge football fan, and I love the women’s lacrosse team here at Northwestern. I grew up in the city of Chicago, where I played lacrosse in high school; I actually fell in love with Northwestern during a team trip to watch the lacrosse team play. After a gap year following graduation, I plan on becoming a physical therapist. I want to eventually apply my skills to animals, as well as humans.
