“In the 20th century, the use of fossil fuels, pollution, and selfish greed have left our planet with poor air quality. As a result, healthy environments for animals like birds are diminishing at an alarming rate, leaving them with little resources to live. Will Earth become a place only inhabited by humans?”

2nd Place: Hana Ahmed, ‘22

"The subject of this long exposure image is a print of an Egyptian landscape that I captured on my very first hot air balloon ride, the beauty of which has been emblazoned in my memory ever since. The worsening effects of climate change, like frequent forest fires, jeopardize these breathtaking sights and our existence within them. If we fail to act now, we're subjecting ourselves to a haunting reality in which we, like the human subjects in this image, are erased, leaving behind the bare hollows of what used to be a bountiful natural world."

3rd Place: Olivia Johansson, '23

“An empty bottle floats in a misty lake forgotten and tossed aside by its owner. What else have we forgotten and tossed aside?”

People's Choice: Natalia Tapia Moreno, ‘25

“She learned about pollution, wildfires, and acid deposition.
'Will I survive climate change?'
I could only hold her, hoping love can shape a better world for my lil' sis.”
