Hello! My name is Brittney Thompson and I am this year's graduate assistant for One Book. I'm from Jamaica but have lived in Georgia for most of my life. I have a bachelors in environmental science and sustainability from Cornell University. I am currently in the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern in their K-12 teaching program with the goal of becoming a high school environmental science teacher. I am pleased to be assisting OBON in highlighting programming related to the issue of climate change and the many fields of study for which it is relevant.

Hi! I'm a third year in the School of Communications studying Theatre Management and Business. Outside of the classroom, I'm a Co-Chair of the Student Theatre Coalition as well as the Director of Education, Inclusion, and Diversity for The 79th Annual Dolphin Show. This is my second year working with OBON, after serving as the Social Media Fellow for Just Mercy, and I couldn't be more excited to work on the team this year!

My name is Alicia, and I'm a senior from Denver, Colorado. I'm studying English Literature and have aspirations to work in either publishing or academia after I graduate. On-campus, I work at the Writing Place and as a communications assistant for SESP. In my free time, I enjoy reading fantasy novels, drawing, and taking my dog for walks around my neighborhood. As a returning fellow, I look forward to working with One Book again this year to engage the Northwestern community in programming and discussion surrounding the issue of climate change.

My name is Madison McClellan, and I am a junior studying Economics and Spanish. On-campus, I am the Head of Fundraising for UNITY Charity Fashion Show, a Senior Account Manager with Lending for Evanston and Northwestern Development (LEND), and a member of Wild Roots Community Garden. I enjoy reading fiction in my free time and hiking along the Oregon coast when home. I am excited to collaborate with student groups around campus interested in environmental topics and look forward to an engaging year with The Story of More.

Hello! My name is Jessa and I'm a senior studying Theatre and German, with a Theatre for Young Audiences module. These past two years I was an ambassador with One Book, and I'm thrilled to be returning this year as a fellow! Besides One Book, I am involved in student theatre, Imagine U, Teaching Buddies, and the Philanthropy Choir. Sustainability and the environment are topics dear to my heart, and I look forward to fostering conversations in the Northwestern community about how we can build a greener future!

My name is Iliana, and I’m a junior from Morgantown, West Virginia. I’m studying English and Cognitive Science with a concentration in Linguistics and hope to one day be an editor. In my free time, I like to explore Evanston and Chicago with my friends, bake, and read poetry. I’m so excited to be a One Book fellow this year and put on some really interesting events for the Northwestern student body!

Hi! My name is Albert and I am a junior majoring in Environmental Sciences. On campus, I am on the executive board for Sunrise Northwestern, which works to achieve progressive political action on climate change, and I also volunteer on the board of the Evanston Environmental Association which focuses on outreach and education. My free time is spent producing music, binging anime, and cooking. I am very honored to serve as a One Book Fellow this year and hope that the entire Northwestern community will come together to work with us on realizing a healthier planet for everyone!
