Campus Planning

Facilities Planning guides the near- and long-term growth and development of Northwestern's Evanston and Chicago campuses.

By providing strategic leadership, coordination, and broad expertise for space planning and management, Planning optimizes university resources and shepherds projects from idea inception to project approval. From spearheading a master plan to laying the groundwork for a new building, Planning collaborates with schools, units, and campus leaders to advance a sustainable, integrated, and accessible built environment.

Campus Master Planning, Land Use and Zoning

Stewardship of physical campus development in support of Northwestern’s strategic plan.

Capital Planning

Long-range capital planning in collaboration with the Office of Budget and Planning and Financial Operations.

Building and Space Planning

Leadership of building and space planning initiatives, working with customers and campus leaders to translate and align space needs in the built environment.

Exterior Space Planning

Development and maintenance of the landscape and exterior spaces surrounding campus buildings.

Commercial Real Estate
