Faculty or staff members who are pregnant and require workplace accommodations may request them through the same process used for medical or disability-related accommodations. Accommodations may include more frequent breaks, limits on lifting, access to places to sit, ergonomic furniture or other measures that can enable the pregnant individual to work.
To request an accommodation for pregnancy, faculty or staff members should complete the Reasonable Accommodation Request Form and provide it to the Office of Equity. Staff or faculty members are welcome to contact Office of Equity to discuss the reasonable accommodation process before providing the form or at any time during the process.
